凯瑞酷爱旅游，工作之余翻阅旅行杂志是他在英国就养成的习惯。而就在六个月前，这本在全球24 个国家37 个城市以10多种语言发行的权威旅行指南杂志评选出了“全球最酷50城市街区”，成都镗钯街与纽约曼哈顿、伦敦佩卡姆等世界知名街区共同上榜，排名第十九位，成为上榜的四个中国城市街区中排名最高的街区。

Kam is passionate about travel. Reading travel magazines is a habit he formed in the UK. Time Out magazine is a travel authority which is published in 37 cities across 24 countries in over 10 languages. Six months ago, it listed Chengdu’s Tangba Jie among the 50 Coolest Neighborhoods in The World, together with New York’s Manhattan and London’s Peckham. Tangba Jie is the highest ranking, of all the four Chinese neighborhoods on the list, at 19th place.

正在描绘镗钯街的是成都画家崔兵，今年60岁的他已经在这样的清晨用黑白线条描摹城市的变迁近40年之久。

60-year-old Cui Bing is a local painter. He has been sketching the city for 40 years, recording the changes in the morning.

Five years ago, Tangba Jie was a quiet residential street. But as the neighboring Taikoo Li area exploded with popularity,

its fringes developed to accommodate the hungry and curious looking for a less commercial vibe. Tangba Jie and its surrounding side-streets are a perfect representation of Chengdu’s modern and traditional juxtaposition and the food-focused culture of leisure that has recently propelled the city into the spotlight.

凯瑞口中的王老师正是崇德里的设计者，成都人王亥。年少时出走半生的他始终惦念故乡的温润，花甲之年带着最前卫理念的设计回到崇德里，却宛若一副少年模样，让这片静卧在闹市区中的历史院落于内于外都展现出新与旧、中与西的完美融合。

Kam was talking about Wang Hai, a Chengdu native and the designer of Chongdeli. Unable to fight against his homesickness, he returned to Chengdu in his 60s to design Chongdeli with vanguard inspiration. Chongdeli is a historical compound hidden in downtown with elements of the old, the new, the east and the west.

当游客不再满足于传统的观光旅游，希望像当地人一样感受这座城市，街区成为了他们最新的选择。

当本地人逛遍繁华商圈，寻求一片安逸净土，镗钯街则为都市人提供了一处闹中取静、自然生长的一派市井与时尚、柴米油盐与文化内涵并存的归属地，也为这座城市孕育出一道包容开放的全球最“酷”风景线。

Tourists are no longer content with traditional sightseeing. They want to experience a city like the locals do. Thus neighborhoods become their choice. When locals are done with shopping and are looking for a quiet place for rest, Tangba Jie is the perfect place for them to
